چکیده

Aim: Post systems are crucial for the treatment of endodontically treated teeth with excessive crown destruction. Currently, increase in esthetic demands has increased use tooth-colored post systems. The aim this study was to evaluate compression-shear strength after application different resin cements and surface treatments zirconia post-cores produced by CAD-CAM milling technique. Methodology: One hundred twenty parts maxillary central incisors were cut using a 2-mm enamel–cement joint water-cooled diamond bur an air turbine handpiece at 300,000 rpm. Root canals same diameter prepared Gates-Glidden drills Snowpost system drills. According enlarged canal, posts copy-milling technique, surfaces roughened techniques (hydrofluoric acid, Al2O3 partial abrasion, CoJet silica coating). cemented tooth canal three cements: 10-Methacryloyloxydecyl dihydrogen phosphate (MDP)-containing cement, Bis-GMA-based resin, resin-based adhesive. As control group, no fixed cements. specimens set down into 25x25x25 mm fabricated blocks acrylic materials. Compression-shear tests samples conducted on Instron Testing Machine appropriate equipment. Results: In summary, combination roughening such as etching coating cement-containing MDP rendered highest strength. Conclusion: This vitro proposes cementation etched Cojet particles MDP-containing cement. How cite article: Eskitaşçıoğlu M, Toprak Gündüz D, Seyfioğlu Polat Z, Göncü Başaran E, Ayna E. Effect of hydrofluoric acid surface treatments on micro-shear bond strength of CAD/CAM ceramics

Introduction Dental ceramics are appreciated as highly esthetic restorative materials that can simulate the appearance of natural dentition better than other materials. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of hydrofluoric acid concentration and etching time on micro-shear bond strength (μSBS) to IPS e.max CAD and Vita Mark II of a dual cured resin cement (Panavia F2.0). Methods Th...

Effect of zirconia surface treatments on the shear strength of zirconia/veneering ceramic composites.

Aim of the investigation was to assess the effect of different surface treatments on the bond strength of veneering ceramics to zirconia. In a shear test, the influences of polishing, sandblasting, and silica-coating of the zirconia surface on bonding were assessed with five different veneering ceramics. In addition the effect of liner application was examined. With one veneering ceramic, the i...

Effects of Various Chairside Surface Treatments on Zirconia-Resin Cement Bond Strength

Introduction: Various surface treatments have been used to improve the adhesion of resin cement to zirconia restorations. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of different surface treatments on the bond strength of resin cement to zirconia (Y-TZP) in clinical practice. Methods: thirty square Y-TZP samples were classified into three groups of 10, including group SB (50 µm sandblast...
